Shipping & Returns
Alcohol shipping is heavily regulated. Here is exactly how it works.
1. Who you are actually buying from
Disco Beverage Inc. does not sell alcohol directly to consumers. Ordering links on this Site hand you off to an independent, licensed retailer or fulfilment platform. Your purchase contract is with them.
That means the retailer (not us) sets prices and taxes, takes payment, verifies your age, ships the order and handles cancellations and refunds under their terms. This page explains how that normally works and where we can help, but where the retailer’s policy differs, theirs governs your order.
If a retailer is not resolving something, contact hello@sipaholeinone.com and we will advocate for you.
2. Where we can and cannot ship
Direct-to-consumer shipment of spirits-based products is governed state by state. Some states allow it, some allow it only from in-state retailers, and some prohibit it entirely, in a few, shipping alcohol to a consumer is a felony.
- The checkout will tell you whether your address is serviceable before you pay.
- We cannot ship to a P.O. box, an APO/FPO address, a freight forwarder, or outside the United States.
- We cannot ship to any address in a dry county or municipality, even inside a state that otherwise permits shipping.
- Quantity limits per person, per period apply in several states.
- Availability changes as licences and state rules change.
It is your responsibility not to attempt an order into a state or locality where receipt would be unlawful. Attempting to do so may cause the order to be cancelled and the product seized.
3. Age verification: twice
Every order is verified at two points.
- At checkout. You must confirm you are 21 or older. The retailer may run an electronic age or identity check.
- At delivery. Federal carrier rules require an adult signature for alcohol. The carrier will ask for valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing the recipient is 21 or older.
- The recipient does not have to be the purchaser, but must be 21+ and must sign.
- Packages cannot be left unattended: not on a porch, not with a neighbour, not in a parcel locker. No exceptions, and no delivery instructions can override this.
- If nobody eligible is there, the carrier will reattempt, usually up to three times.
- Consider shipping to a workplace, where someone is reliably present during business hours.
4. Processing times and costs
| Stage | Typical timing |
|---|---|
| Order processing | 1–2 business days |
| Ground transit | 3–7 business days depending on distance |
| Expedited, where offered | 2–3 business days |
- Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
- Alcohol shipments are not delivered on Sundays in most markets.
- Shipping is quoted at checkout and varies by weight, distance and service.
- State and local taxes and any container deposits are calculated at checkout.
- Extreme heat or cold may delay dispatch. We would rather hold an order a day than cook it in a trailer.
5. How it is packaged
Cans ship in moulded pulp or corrugated inserts that isolate each can, inside a double-walled carton. Cartons are unbranded on the outside apart from the legally required alcohol-shipment label, so the box does not advertise its contents.
6. Tracking
You will receive a tracking number by email once the order ships, from the retailer or carrier rather than from us. Because an adult signature is required, tracking may show attempted deliveries.
7. Refused, undeliverable and abandoned packages
- If delivery cannot be completed after the carrier’s final attempt, the package is returned to the retailer.
- Returned orders are refunded less outbound shipping and less the return shipping charged by the carrier. A restocking fee may apply.
- If ID cannot be produced, or the recipient appears intoxicated, the carrier must refuse the handover. That counts as a refused delivery.
- An incorrect or incomplete address supplied at checkout is not a basis for a full refund.
8. Damaged or lost shipments
Report damage within 7 days of delivery to be sure of a replacement.
- Photograph the outer carton, the inserts and the damaged cans before discarding anything.
- Email the photos, your order number and a short description to the retailer, copying hello@sipaholeinone.com.
- Keep the packaging until the claim is resolved, carriers can ask to inspect it.
Confirmed damage in transit is replaced, or refunded if the product is unavailable. A package marked delivered but not received should be reported within 7 days so a carrier trace can be opened.
9. Returns and refunds
Alcoholic beverages cannot be returned once delivered. This is not a preference: federal and state law prohibits a licensed retailer from accepting the return of, or reselling, alcohol that has left its control. Please do not ship product back; it cannot be accepted or refunded.
Refunds or replacements are available where:
- the product arrived damaged, leaking or otherwise unsaleable;
- the wrong product or quantity was shipped;
- the order never arrived and a carrier trace confirms loss;
- the order was cancelled before dispatch;
- the order could not lawfully be delivered to your address.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days of approval. We do not refund because a flavour was not to your taste, though we do want to hear about it. Email us.
10. Cancellations and changes
Contact the retailer immediately. Before dispatch, cancellation is usually possible. Once a label is generated the order is with the carrier and cannot be recalled, rerouted or have its address changed. Carrier rules for alcohol do not permit in-transit redirection.
11. Trade and wholesale orders
Course, retail and distributor orders do not run through this page. They move through licensed wholesalers under the three-tier system, on separate terms covering minimum order quantities, delivery windows, damage allowances and payment. See On Course or Distributor inquiries.
12. Contact
Order questions: contact the retailer named in your confirmation email first.
